Special Olympics of Texas
Our Council provides funding and volunteers for the local Special Olympics events.
American Wheelchair Mission
In partnership with the State Knights of Columbus, we help fund this worthy organization. The American Wheelchair mission is a non-profit organization with a goal to deliver brand new, free wheelchairs and mobility aids to physically disabled children, teens and adults throughout the world who are without mobility or the means to acquire a wheelchair.

Blessed Mother Teresa Ministry
The Council provides partial financial support for the Ministry, and provides volunteers for some of their fund raising events. The Blessed Mother Teresa Ministry is a ministry of St. Jude Church that provides financial help to needy families in the parish and local area.
College Scholarships
We award up to 3 $1,500 scholarships to local high school seniors with an exceptional skill set that makes them prepared for the next journey in their lives.
Thanksgiving Turkey Program
Council 8806, in conjunction with the Blessed Mother Teresa Ministry, raises funds for Thanksgiving meals for the needy in our area and our local parish families.
Gabriel Project
The Gabriel Project is a parish-based crisis pregnancy intervention program within the Catholic Church. Through the parish acting as the Good Samaritan, future moms receive material and spiritual support needed throughout their pregnancy. We provide financial support for this worthwhile Ministry.
Support of Seminarians
As do many of our Brother Councils, we award an quarterly stipend to an East Texas Seminarian who is studying for the priesthood. This helps him with living and transportation expenses.

Local Veteran Groups
We support local veteran groups in our area with funding and donations of clothing and basic needs like toiletries, socks and underwear.
Assistance to Elderly and Sick Parishioners
The Knights have been the “go to” organization whenever many of our sick and elderly parish members need help with home repairs, meals, lawn mowing or transportation to medical appointments.
